I normally get my workout in first thing in the morning, especially where I don’t have much time. Is this something I should stop doing?

If morning workouts work for you and your schedule/lifestyle, there is no reason to change that. I definitely recommend eating something first - so not going straight from the bed and right into your workout. A lot of people find that working out in the morning helps them stay committed to their goals throughout the day. If this is what works for you, that's great!
